Este término se presta a ser utilizado en forma inadecuada o de forma equivocada (como prefieran), no por que así se quiera, si no mas bien porque no tienen claro (los que organizan los eventos/partidas y los que participan) el nivel de simulación que persiguen. Si, una simulación puede tener niveles o grados de realismo y allí es donde "todo vale".

Donde esté o no el MILSIM?

Básicamente en los participantes (grupos y personas). La actitud más que todas los demás añadidos (el adorno y planificación) es lo que hace la diferencia entre una partida u evento MILSIM y una NO-MILSIM o FALSAS MILSIM. Si, puede estar todo escrito y bien documentado, pero si las personas no adoptan la actitud sacrificada y dedicada de un soldado o militar en combate, no vale de nada lo demás.

Estoy completamente de acuerdo con lo que se expone. Aunque aqui se expone porqué es mejor esta actitud a nivel objetivo, de realismo, etc A nivel personal debo añadir la satisfacción que supone un trabajo bien realizado. Enriquece mil veces más un trabajo duro, bien ejecutado, dentro del papel de cada uno, que una mala ejecución en favor de un compañerismo forzado. Yo confío en mis compañeros y como consecuencia de ello me entrego en mi trabajo en común con ellos. De la misma forma espero un nivel igual de entrega. Mi respeto con mis compañeros me exige seriedad en lo que hago. Debo añadir que eso no quita la parte lúdica y social de mi actividad: como bien dice Xpartano, al concluir la actividad mis lazos con ellos son más fuertes y compartimos risas, agradecimiento por su compromiso y soporte (y en el caso de Anuros los bailecitos sabrosones XDD)
